And I don't mean the fruit either. Everyone in the office I work in has one of those damn blackberries. I feel so inadequate! They are emailing from the subway, go train and in the middle of meetings! Hell my manager is a pro at one handing the darn thing while he brushes his teeth. Life and work really collide around here.
There is only one staff member in the office, besides me, who isn't saddled with a blackberry. I'm an oddity. Strange ain't it? I'm the one who's usually tied to the computer but these guys are head and shoulders above me on that account. I'm thinking if I hang around here long enough I'll end up with one attached to my hip!
It's so creepy when you're in a meeting and all of a sudden one of them starts vibrating across the table! None of them lift and eye brow to it! I think eventually I might become immune to it but it hasn't happened just yet cause I still jump everytime one of them goes off!
Today I spent time signing up for newsletters that my boss advised I join. He is really encouraging me to take as many courses and seminars that I can through various groups within the ministry. I like learning so I'm all on board for that. Besides I want to do really well at this job so I'll go and learn whatever it is I have to do well.
